Remembering Chris
Remembering Chris
June 11th was a dark day.
We lost a dear friend, a colleague, and Planhat’s Chief Commercial Officer.
Chris leaves behind his wife, Lauren, and their two young daughters.
My heart is broken.
It feels surreal even writing this. I don’t have the right words.
Chris and I have known and worked together for 20 years. Over that time, he became one of my closest friends. At Planhat, he was a hero. For those who knew him, he was one of the kindest, most genuine people you’ll ever meet. He poured his heart and soul into this company and played a huge role in shaping what Planhat is today. We will always be grateful for him.
Chris had a remarkable career and was instrumental in building not just one, but two successful companies. Over the past few days, so many people have reached out—friends, current and former colleagues, customers—wanting to help, to share memories, and to express their love for Chris.
I’ve been in close contact with Lauren, Chris's wife, and I’ve passed along the outpouring of support from this community.
It is through stories that we live forever.
Chris’s daughters are still young. As they grow older, I want them to know the person their father was—not just as a dad or a husband, but as a friend, a teammate, a mentor, a leader, and an entrepreneur.
Each story we share will carry a piece of Chris forward. No one story can capture the full picture, but together, our memories can help paint it—honest, layered, and full of life.
Like many of us reading this, Chris dedicated himself to building something bigger than himself. He fought for his teams, he inspired those around him, and he left an imprint on everyone he worked with.
Let’s honor him.
Let’s share the moments, the lessons, and the laughs we had with him.

This link is open to anyone who knew him. We’ll turn the shared stories into a beautiful book that I will gift to his daughters—on behalf of all of us.
Your memories will be handled with care and discretion. These are personal stories meant for Chris’s family, and only a few trusted people will be managing this project.
Chris —
What a gift it was to be your friend.
